Our 6×6 Truck rig is a 22 ton purpose built Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) rig, built in the Netherlands by Geomil. It has been built on a MAN 6×6 platform and has 20 tons push capacity. This rig is currently based in Tauranga, ideal for servicing the North Island. With its high ballast weight and push capacity, this rig can perform CPT tests through dense soils (and even gravel) to depths of 50m+ depending on ground conditions. Both 10 cm2 and 15 cm2 cones are available. As well as CPT tests, this rig can perform flat dilatometer tests (DMT) and downhole seismic testing (SCPT and SDMT).
This CPT truck has been purpose built and has 200 kN push rams with a push/pull clamp. The truck is levelled using four hydraulically operated feet. It can operate on slopes of up to 15 degrees.
