Our 12T CPT truck rig has been custom built on a diesel powered Isuzu FTS 4×4 truck chassis. The testing is undertaken within a fully enclosed cabin. The pushing equipment is an A.P. van den Berg Hyson 200 kN, which is hydraulically operated from a PTO (power take off) off the truck’s engine. We use an Icone digital cone system to measure CPT parameters.
The truck is levelled using four hydraulically operated feet. The truck also has a Hiab crane, which can be used to lift our smaller track-mounted rigs into difficult access sites.
Capabilities
The 12T CPT truck rig has 12.5 ton push capacity and can undertake the following in situ tests:
- CPT / SCPT Testing
- DMT / SDMT Testing
The depth capacity is 40 m+ (depending on ground conditions).
