Alan Thorp

Alan has a degree in Geological Oceanography from the University of Wales. He has three years experience with Gardline Geosciences carrying out offshore CPT’s and core sampling in the North Sea, Black Sea and Mediterranean. Prior to that he had five years experience working with lighting and electronics. He has also worked for a site investigation company in the UK. Alan has been with Ground Investigation since 2012, where he has gained further experience in CPT and other in situ testing. Alan has been instrumental in improving and developing equipment and software in conjunction with suppliers. He specialises in the analysis of CPT and SDMT data and has extensive knowledge of GIS systems, databases and AGS4 data.
